The One Thing That Drove Mike Filsaime To Success At Internet Marketing © Gideon Shalwick

I’d like to ask you a very serious and important question that could change the direction of your life forever…

But before I do, let me tell you about a really interesting lesson I learnt from internet marketing professional Mike Filsaime and how I’ve actually used it in the past to become super successful, but didn’t even know about it until later.

I was about 15 years old, and it was my first big race. I still remember the adrenaline pumping through my veins as I went down into my starting blocks, ready for the 100 meter hurdles event at the Bloemfontein Athletics Championships.

Bang!

I was off to a good start and within about 12.5 seconds and 10 hurdles later, it was all over. I won!

Leading up to that point wasn’t easy though. It basically meant that I had to train for about 2 hours a day for 6 days a week, and be on a very strict diet. Now for a teenager, that was pretty tough.  To cut a long story short, I went through “hell and back” to be able to win the race that day.

But why did I do it? What was driving me?

As Mike told me in one of his interviews with me, it was my Reason Why.

You see, about two years prior to that event, my two older brothers went to exactly the same athletics meeting, and they both won some gold medals each. Of course, as their younger sibling, I simply could not stand that they would be getting all the attention and I had nothing to show. Something inside of me just wanted to prove to them all that I could do it as well.

So, my Reason Why was that I wanted to prove that I could be just as good as my two older brothers. As it turns out, I actually become MUCH better than them later on, and went form competition to completion breaking records and winning gold medals, left right and center – I was becoming a mini celebrity in little old Bloemfontein. But that’s not quite the point of the story.

The point of the story is that I had a big enough Reason Why that pushed me along and got me to go through “hell and back” just so that I could win those medals. Looking back now, I don’t think it was a particularly good Reason Why, but it did the job, and it got me what I wanted.

Nowadays, I’m much more thoughtful about the reasons why I do anything, and it has also helped me a lot to actually get things done a lot quicker and a lot better. And I truly believe that if your Reason Why is strong enough, you WILL find a way to succeed.

So, here is my question to you:
